[Yr7-10it] 2D animation

If they have never done animation before you might want to start with a
really simple animation program like Pivot Stickfigure Animator (free)
or Gif Animator (free). Because students have to create each frame,
without the benefits of tweening, I think they not only appreciate that
function in Flash better but have a better understanding of how an
animation is constructed.

Cheers,

Rachelle

Subject: [Yr7-10it] 2D animation

Dear Colleagues,

I am thinking of introducing some 2D animation into one or more of our
middle school IT units for 2007. Has anyone tried a similar thing in
their school? I was thinking along the lines of Flash, with some free
software such as Gamemaker and similar. The unit would be pitched at CSF
level 5. I welcome any ideas or sample course outlines.

Thanks,

Regards,
