Shane
Try them out on game programming, I recommend Gamemaker, www.gamemaker.nl .
Though easy to get started with, it can challenge them up to university.
Looking at http://edrington.haileybury.vic.edu.au/computerclub should
inspire them.

> I have a couple of grade six students who are reasonably gifted IT
students. I have extended them, got them involved in all manner of
competitions, they have redeveloped web pages, created animations, created
videos, tabbled in programming built a computer...I am running out of ideas
to challenge them. If anyone is doing anything exciting let me know or if
there are any competitions I may be missing out on. Thanks
