[Yr7-10it] weird excel

Yes, but formatting those fields in Word has become a very tedious process
which you seem to have to do one at a time, and which is even more involved
if you are trying to format a percentage!!!  Why does software have to be
*improved* to be so much less user friendly for common, simple tasks?

In Word, the field where the mailmerge data is placed can be formatted to 1
decimal place (or whatever).  It happens to me all the time when I create
individual Mathematics assignments by mailmerging Excel data into a Word
master document.

HI 

 

ive got a weird bug on an excel/word merge

 

i have to put the group number (ie 12.2) on hte report, but when i merge i
get a message that there is a "field error" and it then prints
12.1999999999999999999 (or 12.30000000000000001 instead of 12.3)
