[Yr11 Information Technology] Fwd: Starting Up in Cyber Security

Attention: Digital Technologies, Computing, STEM Teachers and Career Advisors 

	‘Starting Up in Cyber Security’ provides teachers an opportunity to understand Cyber Security that enables them to inspire students and help build their resources for the Digital Technologies curriculum. Teachers will be introduced to the ASD CyberEXP program, sponsored by the Australian Signals Directorate. The program showcases authentic Cyber Security professionals who mentor students through a diverse range of STEM careers. 

	The workshop session links Cyber Security to future STEM careers and provides the rationale for inclusion in the Digital Technologies curriculum, STEM and senior Computing courses. 

	The session workshop supports teachers to introduce ASD CyberEXP Program, an online immersive platform for students that includes: Careers Quiz, Cyber Security mentors roles, Cyber incident simulation, a Cyber Challenge, Cyber lexicon, and web resources. 

	High capacity Internet and Smart technologies are ubiquitous for every business, education and government sector and indeed these technologies transfer into our social and personal lives. Understanding cyber secure mechanisms of protecting the integrity, ownership, and sharing of data is crucial for our wellbeing, our cultural and economic growth.
