[Yr11 Information Technology] New Professional learning Officer VITTA

Is that VITTA logo new? I haven't noticed it before.
New or old...sorry to say I think it's terrible!!
I'm currently doing logo design with year 8s - if you have a story behind
the logo, how and why it was created I'd like to know.

I would like to introduce myself. I am Peter Wakefield, Professional
Learning Officer, at  the Victorian Information Technology Teachers
Association (VITTA). I have been fortunate  in joining the dynamic VITTA
team and look forward to developing productive relationships with teachers

My role at VITTA is to develop Professional Learning in all sectors of
education. My background is in Arts education teaching, branching into
digital arts with early versions of Photoshop. I completed further study in
digital media in the late 90’s and have designed and developed an Applied
Design Education Centre in a secondary setting with ICT learning at its
core. I have recently been the program manager at the Digital Learning Hub
at Arts Centre Melbourne.

 I see ICT as a key element in all learning across and I am looking forward
to playing a role in the development of ICT education, and feel privileged
to be able to facilitate the development of my colleagues in education to
achieve great outcomes for students in emerging and increasingly pervasive
technology.

I am very keen to provide assistance with  the professional learning needs
of   teachers and students and will continue to foster excellence in ICT
education  and look forward to developing strong relationships  within this
community. I would love to get feedback on all of  professional learning
offerings including  VCE IT programs and all relevant areas in this domain.
