Apologies for any dupes or cross posts
If you know any high-school girls that are interested in IT, then this
university
workshop based in Sydney
Australia<https://plus.google.com/101425432113707315497/posts/M8PYngxAzfq
#cs4hs>may be just what they are looking for.

Want to learn how computers really work?
Want to write programs that do what you want?
Want to improve your programming skills for Software Design and Development?
Want to meet other girls also interested in IT?

Run by girls, for girls. Get them to check out this regular event out and
encourage them to sink their teeth into Python, Pygame and Jabber.

Back at #CS4HS <https://plus.google.com/s/%23CS4HS> , great mention was
made about the wonderful things that teachers could be doing to encourage a
greater gender equity and interest in IT. Events like this really help hit
the mark.
