Hi Fatima

Students can use drawing software if they like - the study design does
not prescribe how the network diagram must be done. Also, you have
posted this message to the year 11 edulist rather than the Software
development one, which might explain why you have not had a previous
reply. Join the SD list like you did the year 11 one.

Hi,

I am new to VCE IT and will be doing U3O1 start of term2, I had posted
this message through the email but I dont know if anyone got it, i will
try and post it here.

Are students allowed to use a drawing software for their network
diagrams for the SAC or do they have to be hand drawn?

Also, how much time allocation is appropriate for this SAC? the previous
teacher gave 5, 75 minute lessons

Thanx

Fatima Nazar

hi

i've just had a terrific lesson that has my y12 class actually fired up

we split up to different areas of the school and logged in to my
wetpaint site. we read an article then discussed the issues associated
with the technology. it was great.

wetpaint was a forum based method of communication, fairly slow for
instant messaging etc. the refresh rate frustrated most of us but it
gave us an idea of problems faced with this technology, when we returned
to class i sat back and listened to their conversations, it was great.

does anyone have a better way of doing this? we don't have sharepoint or
moodle which are two ways that have been suggested to improve this
activity.
