Russell Curr, our Systems Administrator, did the costings etc. $1249 per iMac + $135 to upgrade to 2 gig RAM. We currently have a MAC lab in the Art area which is connected to our Novell network but problems are usually related to student’s allocated disk space so we have set up a local username and password. In trying to clear files students sometime delete the MAC profile. I think Russell said that the Novell Netware 7 should be more suitable to our setup. Apple servers apparently not that widely used – not sure of reason for that. Hope that helps a bit.<BR>

Another request. Now that subject selections are done we are on to booklists. Would any kind person on this list be able to suggest items / texts that could be included. I have a Thomson book called ‘Multimedia Concepts” which appears that it may be useful. A 16Gb USB Flash disk would be in order too I should think. Any help appreciated. Just found out today that we are getting a new lab of iMacs for Multimedia (IDA) which is pretty exciting.<BR>
