that the Melbourne International Animation<BR>Festival 2007 is very excited=
to announce a special 'Teen Program' of<BR>festival highlights (for the ver=
y first time!), a 'Career's in<BR>Animation Forum' presented by Holmesglen I=
nstitute of TAFE, and a<BR>program of our favourite cult hero from the memor=
able 60's series,<BR>'Roger Ramjet'!<BR><BR>MIAF is one of the largest anima=
tion festivals in the world and one of<BR>Melbourne's largest film events. I=
t runs 19-24 June at ACMI Cinemas,<BR>Australian Centre for the Moving Image=
in Federation Square, and shows<BR>some of the best current animated shorts=
from around the world as well<BR>as specially curated programs and retrospe=
ctives.<BR><BR>There has always been a major gap in our program, because mos=
t of the<BR>festival is unclassified. This means that only those folk over t=
he age<BR>of 18 can enjoy MIAF (except for the Kids Program which is really=
for<BR>the little kids), and this scenario has of course been extremely<BR>=
frustrating for our enthusiastic under 18 audience. That's why we're<BR>REAL=
LY thrilled to offer these 3 programs!<BR><BR>We would greatly appreciate yo=

<BR>in this field, to get you started in this dynamic industry.<BR><BR>The '=

ably a bit of a shot at<BR>the 'Top Guns' of the era, those jet fuelled ego=
baskets who were<BR>household names in their day and who promised to share=
with America<BR>the slipstreams their sleek jet planes and rockets were cre=
ating in<BR>the national psyche.<BR><BR>As a kind of cojoined parody/homage=
figure, Roger Ramjet has stood the<BR>test of time. Every aspect of these e=
pisodes murmur and scream<BR>'classic'.<BR><BR>Sparsely but brilliantly draw=
n, cheesey but bitingly well written and<BR>with voice talent that is over t=
he top and spot on in terms of<BR>capturing the various nuances of the work,=
these Roger Ramjet episodes<BR>show us how its done.<BR><BR>With 120 episod=
es to choose from, it was always going to be fun<BR>selecting this line-up.=
