The VITTA conference will commence on Monday 23 November 2009 and on Wednesday distinguished keynote speaker Steve Hargadon founder of Classroom 2.0 will speak about "School 2.0 Where we're headed and what to do about it" as part of a three day program of inspiring presentations, hands-on workshops and special events. 



The founder of Classroom 2.0, the director of the K12 Open Technologies Initiative at the Consortium for School Networking ( CoSN ), and the Community Manager for LearnCentral.org. Steve is an expert in educational technology, and is passionate about Web 2.0, social/educational networking, Free and Open Source Software, computer reuse, and computing for low-income populations. He runs the Open Source Pavilion and speaker series for the NECC, CUE, and T+L shows, is the organiser of EduBloggerCon, hold a series of free workshops (Classroom 2.0 LIVE) to help educators learn about the educational uses of the participative aspect of the Web, and runs interviews series at FutureofEducation.com and Conversations.net. 

He is the Emerging Technologies Chair for NECC, a regular columnist at School Library Journal, and blogs at www.SteveHargadon.com .
