Hi all,

If you are not sure about twitter, and after all the hype in the media recently I know there are many people wary of it, seeing twitter as a pretty irrelevant, but the truth is it is a fantastic resource for us. I follow mainly people involved in eLearning and using new technologies and approaches, and I find I have an amazing resource available 24/7
conversations develop when links and ideas are shared, and it provides deeper access to personal learning.
I don't follow ashton kutcher or hughsey
I do follow Derek Robertson (games based learning, keynote at 2008 VITTA conf), Stephen Downes (digital learning and connectivity guru), Karl Fisch (Shift Happens) as well as many local legends.

I have Diigo on my toolbar, and when I come across a cool/relevant site I just send it to twitter, and all of my followers share it.
I have covered conferences using coveritlive, and posted links, which have enabled my followers to become a part of a conference they are not able to attend... very powerful stuff, Then I can also link in other people talking about the same event, adding to the conversations.

ahhh just my ramble for today
Hope to get back into IDM at some stage, although it looks like I may be teaching another VET next year, definitely using many MM skills in my Media class :)
