Pinnacle Studio 12 is a good editing software that is reasonably priced and is quite reliable. Costs Approx. $150.00 per copy. As with all editing software it is ideal that the PC used will have some grunt and good storage capacity, otherwise you could be crashing frequently. We have no problems at our school using Pinnacle on PC's with 2 Gig of Ram and 160 Gig of Hard Drive. However, Performance increases dramatically when using the same program on our later machines with 4 Gig or RAM and 600 Gig Hard Drive

Hi All,

This my first query, I'm not teaching vet MM, as you can see below. Hope you can help me.

A year 12 Media student is trying to make his movie. He wants to know of a Windows based program that he can buy that the school could also purchase. He needs a program which the teacher can see him working on at school and one that is also affordable for him, so that he can put the huge amounts of time in at home. All he has is Movie maker!

The school has a few iMacs but the student wants a program he can use at home.

Sony Vegas Studio is also used by some schools, as is Pinnacle.  I use
Premiere, myself, and love it dearly.
