Hi Travis,
It's the pits having to teach a year 12 course for the first and last time (I did it last change!!) but I think you'll find there are some things you'll be able to transfer across without too much change in 2010. Certainly I would not be scrapping the resources and tasks you developed this year as they should be adaptable to the new year 11 course.

PixelEd hope to offer some PD early in 2009 but details are not confirmed yet.

No books specifically tailored to this course. Natcoll Publishing is worth a look - NZ based but pitched at a good level and lots of interesting activities.

As far as I know yr 12 next year will still be actionscript 2, however there is no prac question involving scripting The multi-choice/short answer questions are often in pseudocode and/or cover the more general theory. 
I don't know how different AS3 looks if the kids have a question that requires them to read actual code(has happened a couple of times) - would recommend you have a look at past exams and judge whether you think your kids could do the scripting questions.
