I'm with you guys. It would be my preference to stay with the old cert 2 for
another year.
I was told by my (very experienced) Vet training manager that due to the
implementation plan and assessment guide not yet being released, that we are
not obliged to start the new package for 09. She is currently consulting
regarding this. I will let you know the outcome.

Hi Paul,

At this late stage , that would be my preference too, but my understanding
of what has been said in the discussions here is that we have to change over
at cert 2 level next year, even though we're not sure what we're changing to
yet. Is that right, or do we have the option of staying with the old cert 2
for another year ?

regards,

Brian Pearce,

Hi Jamie.

VCAA is saying that the new Cert II will be offered in 2009
with the new Cert III starting in 2010. They have, however,
not yet released the assessment guide for either package.

I think I will be sticking to the current Cert II for next year
with a transition to the new one in 2010.

Cheers,

Thanks.

Is there a date for when the Cert 2 will be available?

Cheers,
Jamie

Hi Jamie,
The current Cert 3 course will run for Units 3-4 in 2009.
However, next year Unit 1-2 will be the new course based on the new TP.
Information from VCAA on the new course are not out yet.
