According to the instructions for the Technician:

Hold down keys 'q' 'c' and 'p' together.
The 'skip reading period' passcode entry screen will appear.
Type in 'skip'.

The student ID entry page will appear.
Enter the student ID.
Click on 'Yes' to continue.
