Hi Peter
In 2005 I taught a combined class of Cert II (15 students) and Cert III (8 students) on an all-day Wednesday, 9.00 - 3.12pm (effectively 4.5 hrs). I asked for extra time on the basis that I was under ANTA requirements for the amount of time spent on each course and didn't get it.

In 2006, more students have taken up the course so it will be Cert II (24 students) on an all-day Wednesday and Cert III (12 students) on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 1.15pm (starting in our lunchtime) to 4pm. The extra time until 4pm will be considered as an extra period of teaching.

Oh yeah, and I do the holiday thing too.

Hi Peter,
At cert 2 I have 4x50 minute periods - 1 double and 2 singles.
At cert 3 it's 5x50 minutes - 1 double and 3 singles.

This isn't enough so I find I have to open and supervise in my own time ie at lunchtimes and after school (probably average 2 hours/week)
I also run one day per holiday break for the year 12's (ie term1, 2 and 3 hols)
