[VCE Maths] (no subject)

For Methods Application Task I used 'Product of Functions', in particular
'Child's Swing' which involves combo of exponential and trigonometric
functions...y = A e^(-Bt) cos(Ct)...where A,B,C are real no's

You can firstly ask about the individual functions that model the swing
(separate expo, then trig)..then you combine them..
Each student had to choose their own constant A, B, C (within a given
restriction...this way no two graphs are the same-authentication issue)

Last lesson involved a question where they had to determine A,B and C -GIVEN
A GRAPH of SWING'S MOTION.

Depends on the question. I'm teaching Methods this year.

I'm using Math Quest Math Methods 12. We've already done a test
covering the first four chapters: Graphs - Linear, quadratic, cubic,
hyperbola, truncus, logarithmic and exponential, + Binomial thereom, +
Log and index laws.

Will do remaining SACs at the end of this term. I get the Application
task from the Cambridge CD available from the VCAA, link and contact
details available on the VCAA web site under Math Methods - Resources
