<p class="MsoNormal">I would like to share with you a product we have been testing (along with a number of other schools) for the last 8 months. It’s called Stile -

<p class="MsoNormal">Before saying any more, I’d just like to point out that other than being involved in testing, I have absolutely no links to the product or company! I’m just a big fan of it.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">What is it? – Essentially, a cloud based site where teachers can organise course materials, give students access to those materials and allow students to submit work for marking. You set up a ‘Subject’, create any number of ‘Lessons’ within
the subject and add ‘Activities’ to each lesson. You can give information/instructions, upload files, images, embed video, provide space for students to answer or upload files to you.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The downside – It’s not free. </p>

</span></span></span>It’s Australian, developed in Melbourne I believe</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">This is not trying to be a full LMS, but for organising your teaching materials, getting them out to your students and collecting work from them, it’s great.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">I see there is a free trial on the website link I have given, but if you would like to see a couple of ‘real’ courses I have set up and used with students this year, send me a note at

<p class="MsoNormal">I have been teaching for many (too many) years, and this is one of the best, most useful products I have ever used in the classroom. Hope that’s not overstating how much I like this product!</p>
