<p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'>Firstly I agree totally with Marks
comment about the terms we need to know being in the glossary and clearly
explanations of how much details of networks etc. we should go into eg. in SD
do we do OSI layers? (I do briefly). <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'>I like the introduction of
programming in Unit 2, but, unlike Mark, worry that students coming through
will not have any spreadsheet background.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><span style='color:black'>I find the programming weighting
in SD Unit 4 Outcome 1 does not reflect the effort that students put into the
outcome and find it very difficult to distribute fairly the marks. I think a
greater share to programming, and I think it should come from Outcome 2 eg.
Outcome 1 worth 60 marks total &#8211; 45 for the &#8220;solution&#8221; and
Outcome 2, which is far less time consuming or challenging or implying anywhere
near the degree of knowledge and skills, as being worth 40 marks for the total
of 100 for that unit.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
