I have been assuming that U3O1 required students to interpret the design documents to program modules, but not write their own. In U3O2 they create their own in the context of the SAT, as per the key knowledge 'methods of expressing software designs using data dictionaries, object descriptions, mock ups, and pseuodocode.

Hopefully that's correct :)

Hi all. I've been unsure about this...

U3O1 requires students to "interpret designs and apply a range of functions
and techniques using a programming language to develop working modules"

The detailed learning activity (
?'?
Shield Security Services
?'?
) in the Advice, however, expects students to show evidence of "a data
dictionary".
?

Not "*interpreting* a data dictionary" (as the previous dotpoint said about
pseudocode) ?

To "show evidence of " a data dictionary implies that students are expected
to *create* the data dictionary.?

?But
- being a design tool - should
?n't the data dictionary
be provided to students, rather than created by them,
?as
require
?d?
?by
?U3O1
??

?Ideas??
