[Year 12 SofDev] Quick thoughts on the SD exam over a cold beer

Hi Folks,

 

We had better not post details of questions until we get the all clear from
Paula.

I thought it was fair but I do have a few comments to add when we get the go
ahead.

Section A - very sound.  Thank dog good sense prevailed again regarding the
OSI model question.

 

B1c - odd. Can't you just say it has the features of the 2 previous answers?
I can't see what the question is getting at.

 

B4 + 5 - aha!  They have finally asked students to write pseudocode!  I knew
that would come eventually.  And it's worth beaucoup marks!

 

C3b - I was hoping an <<extends>> might get into the exam, but not this
year.

 

The exam seemed light-on for pseudocode deskchecking. I was expecting
something meatier.  Still, can't have everything.

 

Overall - it's a tail-wagger.

 

(Note: I reserve the right to discover exam horrors later, when the beer's
finished)
