Dear colleagues

Apologies for the cross postings. Last week I participated in the
Australian Computer Education Conference held at the Melbourne
Exhibition and Convention Centre. On Tuesday participants had the
opportunity to discuss and critique the effectiveness of embedding ICT
in the phase 1 learning areas of the Australian curriculum as well as
providing opinions about whether ICT should also be a learning area. If
you did not attend this leadership forum but would like to provide
comments to the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting
Authority (ACARA) visit www.australiancurriculum.edu.au
<http://www.australiancurriculum.edu.au/> Consultation closes on 23
May.

All the sessions that I attended between Wednesday to Friday were
worthwhile. There were some excellent keynote addresses and individual
sessions. Conferences like this provide an opportunity to meet
colleagues, not only from your state but from elsewhere in Australia and
overseas. A very good conference.

Regards

Paula
