Thanks Russell for your support!  I am sure that not many people pay
attention to my rants - or my blog!  You have made my day!  I am sure many
would disagree about the use of Web2.0 tools - and I don't mean to be
negative, but it is ultimately all about engagement (rather than - 'look how
cool this is').

I agree entirely.  We have lots of people running around

In a panic trying to get everything done via web 2.0.

As a maths/physics and ICT teacher I think the learning

efficiency is way too low for many situations.  That is, the ICT

tends to become the object and the maths/physics tends

to be the after thought.  There are some classes which may

benefit from this approach, but chances are they will not be

likely to go that far with the theory anyway.  For our accelerated

students I feel it is largely wasting their time.
