Hi Andrew,
Here are three more books I found useful:

Jeff Kent, Visual Basic 2005 Demystified, McGraw-Hill 2006 ISBN 0-07-226171-4
Wallace Wang, Visual Basic 2005 Express: Now Playing, No Starch Press 2006 ISBN 1-59327-059-3
Jerry Ford, Microsoft Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition Programming for the absolute beginner, Thomson 2006 ISBN-10-59200-814-3

Hope this helps.

Bruce

HI all

thx for all your advice about programming languages for next year

i have decided that will focus on VB.net as we have been using that in yr 11 (i have however promised some students that they can do equivalent projects in C++ because they are so keen)

I have Adrian Janson's VB.net book - a fantastic resource

I would like to purchase one or 2 some more VB.net resource books too -

can any1 make a recommendation?

thx, andrew grimshaw

And I found some good ones on the Internet at www.homeandlearn.co.uk
They are free online or you can download very cheaply. They also have
books on Word, Excel, basic computing that I have downloaded to train
some staff at work.

Hi Folks,

Just flicking through the sample exams and not sure about Section A, Q17.

Answer given is B, a predecessor. But answer C ( a dependency ) would be
correct too would it not ?

Regards
Kevork
