Hi everyone, (apologies for the x-posts)

Australian science teachers of grade 6, 7, 8 or 9 have been invited to
participate in the ISS EarthKam program (http://earthkam.ucsd.edu/),
which enables teachers to take photos from space.  Teachers will be able
to tell an astronaut on the ISS what they want them to photograph.  I've
been told that there are virtually unlimited spaces and unlimited
photographs available.  Teachers can ask their students what they would
like photographed.

Training for teachers will be this Friday (Oct 16) after school, which
is quite soon, so they will need to contact Maria Catalina from TATA
(from The Astronaut Teacher Alliance) at maria at tata1.org to get
involved.  Only one teacher needs to actually register with NASA (which they
will be shown how to do), however, the training is on Skype and any
number of teachers can join the Skype chat and learn how to get the
photos.

Usually NASA will assign 100 "codes", each of which is worth
one photo from space, but if you want more they just give them to you -
you can ask for hundreds if you want.
