I know there are some open source typing programs. Have a look at this
catalogue. They may be sufficient.

Subject: [Primaryit] typing programs

I'm looking to invest in a typing program for a Prep-10 school I'm
working at, where the general literacy levels of the students are
quite low. The two on my shortlist at the moment are TypeQuick and
TTAPS (which is on the software rolling fund). Typequick has a demo,
but I can't find the same for TTAPS - does anyone have any experiences
of either of these (or any other suggestions)?

Cheers,

vik
