You can also make the blog more easily accessable for users by putting
it on the right side menu - as admin from the Front Page click Turn
editing on...scroll down to Blocks... Add... Blog Menu. You can choose
to move it further up towards the top. Users then have a menu on their
Front page (but not in Course pages) - Add a new entry, View my entries
and Blog preferences.<br>
<br>
Since users can attach files to their blog it could be used as an
ePortfolio if you have not installed Mahara or Exabis Portfolio. It
could also be used to share photos of school events such as swimming
sports etc. Or just be used for students to reflect on their classes,
learning and overall school experiences.<br>

My school has not got moodle so I host it on my own website (I
restricted self enrolment to their bsc email addy) - it's so sad that
nobody else there recognises its power, and that I have never been able
to get any other staff enthused... I guess I am just not Roland!!!!<br>
<br>
I am on sick leave at the moment and moodle has been a godsend for my
ICT class (yes just one of them!! And to think we used to have FOUR
Info Tech teachers!!!!)<br>
