Connecting moodle to your LDAP server has other advantages, such as an
easier way to integrate Mahara etc. Currently I cannot use Mahara *sad*
as the server versions of PHP? & MySQL are too old and I have no
way to update them (although seriously thinking about asking them to
please update them!)<br>

set up Moodle to use
email authentication because LDAP hasn’t been set up on our network. In
the
authentication settings I only allow addresses from the
ourcollege.vic.edu.au
domain. That way the students’ mail accounts must be legitimate for
them to
respond to Moodle’s confirmation email.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

am so excited, others in the leadership team are wanting to really get
stuck
into Moodle, as are the ground troops. My awesome tech has set up
Moodle, we
are now getting to the trialling stuff on it<o:p></o:p></span></p>

I open it totally to staff I want to make sure everything is running
as

tech has set it up so that the network login is the same as the moodle
login,
and when they login the first time they need to put in their account

a question for those who are using the ISP with “my desktop”, “my
classes” etc
