There is a plugin or module that does this .. I'll admit to not giving it much thought. I'm talking about making it easy. Teacher uploads the video in whatever format, then its there as a stream and as a vodcast/download. Instructions and comments at doodles would be great to have _inside_ the video, or at least pop up at certain time points/bookmarks. <br>

Do a search and try pasting some code into a web page you create in Moodle. If you look at my attachment you will kind-of get the idea. If you understand every thing in Moodle has a html address you can link back to a particular object by referencing its html address. This is how the embed command works but you have to have uploaded the movie into Moodle first, but you can reference other objects on other web sites like flickr or slideshare.<br>

Is anyone using embedded video in moodle? I've just had some brainwaves and want to see if there is anything already being done. Can moodle take a video file, transcode it, and have it available in an embedded (flash) player, as well as for vodcasting? i.e. like youtube/teachertube, but local to the moodle install?<br>
<br>Another thing would be really useful would be the ability to scribble and/or add comments at certain times in the videos - youtube has annotations, and I've just come across BubblePLY (<a href="http://www.bubbleply.com" target="_blank">http://www.bubbleply.com</a>) which let you overlay speech bubbles over the top of existing embedded videos.<br>
