[Moodle] Page not displaying

Hi All,
Thank you for the suggestions.
The problem was in line 13 of the config.php file, thanks to Daniel Stefyn for pointing this out:
$CFG->wwwroot was pointing to localhost, I changed this to the IP address as it is a test vmware machine and all works fine.

A point of clarification about the URLs and netmasks. 

Our college's moodle is on a local machine called 10.129.abc.xyz which maps to moodle.pvgc.vic.edu.au. The correct URL to use in our moodle config file ([path to/]moodle/config.php) is http://moodle.pvgc.vic.edu.au <http://moodle.pvgc.vic.edu.au/>  . If I use http://10.129.abc.xyz I can reproduce your error if I load Moodle from outside the college's intranet, or from a different subnet if I have the netmask set incorrectly.

Do you have the correct netmask (like 255.255.249.0) set for your server, and the correct URL set in the Moodle configuration file? I had similar problems several installations ago and traced them to either of these.

Hi Moodlers,

I have a problem with a  new Moodle installation - when I type the Moodle server IP address into IE or Firefox, the page displays ok on the server but when I move to another machine the page is displayed without proper formatting - it looks like a text version of the Moodle page without the blocks, theme etc...I'm at a bit of a loss exactly how to explain it so I've had no luck with google!! I think I had a similar problem when I last installed Moodle about 6 months ago and fixed it with a chmod on a file or directory but so far I've tried the usual suspects with no success.

Also, there are some great Moodle resources in the iTunes store - if you do a search for Moodle - the videos from Michigan's MI Learning are really useful.
