I found this site last night - Assignment Calculator:

Students plug in the current date, the due date and what type of
assignment it is. The site outputs a proposed study schedule and links
to resources on the library site to help students structure their
learning. The site even offers email reminders to ensure that you meet
the proposed deadlines.

 

What scaffolding is your department/house providing for your students?

 

The concept is very simple and the 'code' for this tool is opensource so
it is freely available to play around with and improve.
