Efficiency is doing things right (management) (Tactics) time / cost / ease<br>
Effectiveness is doing the right things (leadership) (Strategy) quality of product<br>
<br>
You can have a really efficient program but if it doesn't solve the core problem for the user, then it's not effective.<br>
<br>
Answering questions, particularly multiple choice, should be straight-forward for students - if they can isolate the three answers that are similar, they should choose the "odd answer out". Even if they are a little bit unsure of the technical definitions of the two terms, general logic should lead them to the correct answer.<br>

I always told my students that Efficiency was time, cost and effort and Effectiveness was everything else.<br>
