I now have two apprentices that work for me from Apprenticeship Plus who handle all the paperwork and staffing details. Very cost effective although you need a time slot to train and support them. It is very important that you carefully interview and cautiously screen if you select a candidate from outside your school. as part of my potential new role for next year, are there any schools out there where students are acting in a network and development role that you could share with me. I have selected a few of my more capable students to assist in roles such as school web site redesign and some general software management troubleshooting/monitoring within the network for next year. Essentially, a panel of about 6-7 of my capable and trusted yr10/11/12's have been approached by me to 'assist' from a student perspective, in network management next year.<br>
This is not a traineeship or 'official' position, but is still good grounding for the chosen ones.<br>
