<div dir="ltr">I managed to find a model that was coulc be used by either a USB2 or Firewire connection. Very cute and powers itself from the laptop (last thing you need is more power dongles) <br><br>When comparing both methods to shuffle files, I was suprised how much faster the firewire drive turned out to be .. until my technician pointed out that the speed quoted for USB2 was only a theoretical maximum and rarely reached when moving large files at once. Another lesson learned.<br>

people, I have been loading the School's licensed SW onto my teacher laptop so
I can develop exercises @ home etc.</span></p>

believe that this is OK if you are using the SW for teaching or to assist your
teaching.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;" lang="EN-AU">Anyway,
after receipt of a recent DEECD email re the laptop rollout program, I have
decided to purchase my own and hand my creaking old R52 back.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 10pt;" lang="EN-AU">My
question is, does this change anything re the use of the laptop and the SW I
may download onto same?</span></p>
