[Year 12 IT Apps] Dear lurkers, newbies and tender souls... please phone home.

Maybe the lurkers are so entertained by the debates they feel no need to put in their say.

And yes I would like cardinality in the VCAA ERD’s.

Subject: [Year 12 IT Apps] Dear lurkers, newbies and tender souls... please phone home.

You know that we - the usual suspects - have been predictably bellowing, stamping and raising dust during the annual post-exam mania.

But every so often I hear cheeps (usually off-list) from tentative newcomers with very real and valuable contributions to the debates that we thick-skinned bulls are thrashing out noisily on the savanna.

[Analogy dying, the author struggles on through the tall, dry metaphorical grasses of the Serengeti...]

We here at the ITA Edulist would be delighted if more lurkers and sensitive souls with creative insight would contribute to this exam thread, or other ITA discussions in the future.

We promise we won't laugh at you or make you embarrassed. We have a rigorous "Rainbows and Unicorns" protocol that makes all contributions welcome and supported.

So please gird the loins, draft and craft your posts (I spend anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes editing a particularly dumb post; much less time on a good one) and send them in.

As we old bulls die off...

[ I know *I* don't have much time left, what with heart surgery, a love of red wine and bacon, a curious need to win Russian Roulette contests in the smoky back rooms of post-war Asian bars, and occasional difficulties differentiating left from right when travelling at high speed on freeways. But then, doesn't everyone? I know my old mum was just the same...]

(cough)

Sorry. Where was I? Right... as we old bulls fade away, we need fresh young contributors who have something new to say to get us out of our well-worn and dusty cognitive and pegagogical ruts.

Please: somebody stop me going on about evaluation criteria being developed during the design stage of the PSM. I bore MYSELF to death going on about that.

If you don't speak up on this list, here's what will happen... we'll just keep moaning about the same old things until someone does something we'll all regret.

I'm not talking about a rifle in a clock tower. I mean something far worse ... there might be another debate about the misuse of Boolean fields for binary data.

O, the humanity. Please save yourselves. Save us all. Post soon.

Already, I feel the stirrings of a rant coming on about VCAA ERDs that lack cardinality...
Must resist. Must...
