Subject: [Year 12 IT Apps] The Brontosaurus Theory of Anne Elk (Miss) - and the 2016 study design (consultation draft)

One of the key knowledge dotpoints of the consultation draft of the 2016 ITI (IT:Informatics) study design for U3O2 is "a standard method for referencing... sources, such as Harvard, American Psychological Psychological Association (6th version)".

It turns out that the august American Psychological Psychological Association's style guide (Sixth Edition) uses the character of Anne Elk (Miss) and her famous 'Theory of Brontosauruses' to illustrate how to reference a periodical article.


Elk, A. (1972a). My theory on brontosauruses. Journal of the All-England Summarize Proust Competition, 31, 12-27.

It uses this example for books, reports and so forth.
