[Year 12 IT Apps] 2012 ITA U4O2 QAT

The zoo is a big place. Get together with some colleagues and take them
to the zoo for each class. This would mean that they can spend an
adequate time at each exhibit, and you could also get a "friends of the
zoo" pass which makes it cheaper if you go about 3 times or more. The
Business Management teacher could use this to demonstrate economies of
scale, you could use it as a measure of efficiency, Maths could
calculate the total average cost per trip, Accounting could work out the
break-even analysis.......

Hehe you are such a tease Mark :-)

I have to agree, practice, practice, practice exams. Under exam
conditions of course. I have an old slideshow that I use that unpacks
the more difficult questions.

The Zoo has an education centre but you may have to bring your own wifi.
Cheaper to play animal recordings. I have some bird calls that I play on
my iPad to distract students from the wild sounds of nearby year 9's as
they do the practice questions. Lots of exciting and random ping noises.
Beats the head thumping RNB that they try to sneak into their brains.
Makes a sound like blowies buzzing inside their skulls.

Hi Anna

If you don't want to do revision, revision, revision, revision, revision
you could organise trip to the zoo.

Or maybe grab some theory slideshows <http://vceit.com/slideshows> .

And go over exams, exams, exams starting (preferably) a few months ago.

The VITTA practice exams are useful, if you exercise care with their -
umm - imperfections. I find such imperfections useful in training kids
how to handle 'Challenging' questions in the real exam. But I am looking
forward to a good exam on 13 November.

Cheers
Mark
