[Year 12 IT Apps] Youtube?

My problem is that corro classes (particularly psychology) expect the students to view youtube clips so I open it up on request for a double period. As a tiny school I can manage whitelisting, then blacklisting again as it is required for classes but I imagine this would get too difficult in a large school. I don’t really mind it open except it uses up bandwidth if a whole class is browsing clips and I think there are better things for students to do at lunchtime than watch clips.

Netspace default position comes via DEECD, there are better ways to DL and discuss videos on the Tube.

Hi Everyone

Just a general question as to whether your school allows/unblocks YouTube for ITA usage (or any other class).

There’s a bit of pressure here for me to open it up, when Netspace’s default position is “no” with good reasons.

Any comments or ideas?
