[Year 12 IT Apps] General Q's and a Collection of Images for U3O1

POLLOCK, Benn(POL) POL at wantirnacollege.vic.edu.au

Hi All -

Need some advice on the following with regards to the Prototype Website
SAC....

1)	How many layout diagrams/storyboards are the students required
to create? Do they have to do 1 for each page, or do they just do a
couple? This may be a silly question, but if students plan for their
site to have 5-6+ pages in their sitemap, this seems like a lot of time
dedicated just to design.

2)	With the Validation techniques, do students just write these
down on a separate sheet of paper? Is there a template or other required
for this?

3)	I plan on using the VITTA SAC from the 2011-2014 resource kit on
"Victorian Heights College" - what's the rough amount of images we
should supply them with? I've attached a collection of images I've
sourced over the weekend - feel free to use at your will... And finally,
is it strictly prohibited that students don't source their own images to
add to the supplied images or is it "ok" ?

Any feedback would be great!

I can't see how the book could justify them as technical constraints.
Does it give an explanation?

Logically, technical constraints would be imposed by technology. Time
and money are not technology.

The cost of the solution would impact decision making with regards to
the selection of the tools used, server space, software etc. As the
textbook states it "might determine whether the organisation uses freely
available tools or tools to which they subscribe".
It sounds reasonable.

Limited time and money are not caused by technology, so I would classify
them as non-technical.
Limited RAM, storage space, software compatibility issues, limitations
imposed by networking protocols etc would be technical constraints.
