Another worth examining is Openclipart.

I have enjoyed using Inkscape to create free clip art from doodles that I
made during meetings or the odd photograph. It is amazing how many
thousands of different people have browsed these.

Oddly enough, the city skyline graphic was originally a photograph of the
Melbourne Skyline that I took from a Melbourne High School balcony during a
VITTA meeting. As I had released it under a creative commons
attribution-share alike licence, it was a pleasant surprise to be later
contacted by a producer who adapted it for part of a TV opening title
sequence and website.

A good lesson about licensing and graphics, and easy to engage junior
students as content producers.
