[Year 12 IT Apps] U3O1

Considering, if you have single periods, students have an opportunity to go and look up their notes and textbook every 48 minutes or so, I don't think allowing/disallowing notes in SACs would make a big difference. Those that are too lazy to look up or check their thoughts at home will probably be lazy in class as well. Also if they have to keep looking up their books this reduces the time they have to work on the task. I doubt it would affect the ranking of students significantly. For project style SACs I don't mind what they use as long as the work they produce is their own.

Subject: Re: [Year 12 IT Apps] U3O1

In the past I have not allowed students to bring their notes into SACs
because I was under the impression that this was the rule. But Paula's
email seems to change things. I don't disagree with Mark's comments but my
email was seeking clarification. What is it that we can allow students to
bring into SACs?
Paula's statement, "Schools can determine what students take into their
SACs..." is slightly open ended. I am not trying to be nit picking here, I
just want to know so that I can do the right thing by my students.

Cheers
George
