Question Litsa, I'm new to teaching IT Apps this year - I downloaded your
document on U3O1 and it looks very helpful. I noticed you have given page
numbers for various required skills. Are we allowed to let students use
their text books in the SACS? I was under the impression that we weren't
allowed to? Please correct me if I'm wrong...

Cheers

Hello.

I am just about to go through the outline of Unit 3 - Outcome with my
students. I prepared this outline last year and have modified parts of it
based on the feedback from the audit posted on the VCAA website.

Please free to provide any feedback and/or use/edit it as you wish.

Good luck, Litsa :-)

MEDIA VS PIRACY: THE CURRENT STATE OF PLAY

The way we interact and consume media over the past ten years has rapidly
changed. iPads, Kindles, eBooks, and mobile computing has opened up the
gateways of interactivity, and many industries are affected by piracy, more
commonly the music and entertainment industry. Surrounding the recent arrest
of Kim Dotcom, founder of Megaupload, and the US governments proposed ?Stop
Online Piracy Act? (SOPA) and ?Piracy IP Act? (PIPA), this public seminar
will look at the current state of play: media vs piracy.

We welcome you to attend and hear from our panel of experts.
