The Technologies - ICT/Digital technologies

Have your say!

ACARA has just released a draft shape paper for The Technologies, which
provides a proposal for the direction of the Australian Curriculum for
ICT/IT. This proposal is in addition to the learning continuum that has been
published for ICT as a general capability.

Come along to consultation forum held at Melbourne High School to provide
feedback on the proposal shape and organisation of the ICT/IT curriculum
from F (foundation or first year of schooling) to year 12. Your viewpoints
will contribute to Victoria's response to the shape paper. The session will
primarily focus on providing feedback on key questions, following an
introduction to ACARA's curriculum design process.

This is a critical stage in the curriculum development process, and your say
is vital in shaping how ICT/IT will be represented in the Australian
Curriculum. Be proactive and have your opinions heard now.

Presenter: Paula Christophersen
Paula Christophersen is the VCE IT Curriculum Manager at the VCAA. Paula has
been involved in the review and development of many VCE IT study designs and
in the quality assessment procedures applied through coursework audits.
