[Year 12 IT Apps] Distribute.IT disasters and backups

For those of you in charge of your own Joomla! website; run and install 
the free version of Akeeba backup.

Brings up some interesting issues re: feeling safe on the 'cloud'.

Also the legal implications of provision of service, what those terms 
entail and who is liable when things go 'belly up'.

in my cynical opinion I predicted to the year 11's that Distribute.IT 
would cease to exist as a company and be bought out. [that's to limit 
nasty legal repercussions] and sure enough...

so, just to make this horrible scenario real, I told my students that at 
any time I'm liable to delete their entire U: drive contents within the 
next 2 months and they'd better have their files backed up. Boy, didn't 
they get busy copying to USB...
