So you are saying what I have understood for years

NO dictionaries at all for ESL students in ITA (or Physics, Chemistry, Maths, etc)

    hi All
I believe they are allowed a dictionary. The exams are proof read by specialist ESL people at VCAA prior to the sitter vetter.
All answers must be in English since 1991 when someone had to receive a mark in maths because their answer was correct but in Chinese (Rhombus was the word in 1990).

Ring the VCAA ESL people and ask for the answer in an email.

      Hi All,
I have been asking this question to, from what I have been able to find out is that there are no provisions for ESL. All normal rules apply.

Interesting one. I've not seen this come up before.

All I know for sure is that all written answers must be in English.

I've not heard of exams in foreign translations (especially in IT; imagine the problems translating the specialist vocabulary in proper VCAA-speak.) Neither have I heard of human translators being used during exams; the authentication problems would be monstrous.

I'm sure Paula has all the answers.

      Hi all

For the first time, I have an ESL student who is asking what type of assistance he can have translating the exam paper. His English is reasonable, but not comprehensive technically. What do others prvide within the guidelines?

For no reason, my friend became a square, flat surface with four legs. I rushed him to hospital. His condition is table.
