[Year 12 IT Apps] Suggestion for a third VCE IT subject ...

I was a tad confused about the same question. There are CCTV systems that
will detect users, some are even fancy enough to detect faces that they do
not recognise and flag an alert. In a sense, There was a report in The Age
recently how police are using biometric information to track crims and I can
imagine casinos using this technology to track users. Not sure how reliable
it is.

I have enjoyed and had a few good laughs at the miss-hits with the free
facial recognition software built into iPhoto but will acknowledge the
potential when I took the trouble to train the system and get it right. (It
correctly identified the faces on a statue of Henry Bolte and a poster of
Fredo Frog that I tagged. Curious to see what happens if I bump into them
again or if they are in the background of future photos)
