It's the "less than .01 per cent error rate" that worries me a bit.

Does that mean one in a thousand crims will get loose?  How much is  a
government prepared to spend for a one-in-a-*million* error rate?

It would be interesting to know what the current error rate is using
carbon-based life-form security agents.
