[Year 12 IT Apps] A tip for email nasties..

Perhaps some others can benefit from a stroke of luck that I had set up as a 'plan B' for just this type of thing occuring...

If you use 'outlook' for mail as I do and many others I assume do too, then simply go to the bottom left of your mail based screen, look for the Rules tab, and set up a rule to include some key terms of email you dont want in your 'inbox' and direct it to somewhere else, in my case, all these recent ones just magically landed into my Deleted folder so all I needed do was hit the magic little trash can once and they all disappeared, simple.
The concern of mine was the volume potentially of files building up on our server here and causing an issue. As I am not the administrator here, I try to ensure my little 'patch' is looked after so others dont suffer from nasties if I can help it.

Hope this tip is useful...
Kent.

Whew! 244 deletions later and I found your explanation Kevork.

A fine example of automated response systems creating a positive feedback
loop that leads to trouble. A bit like the stock market crash in 1987(?)
caused by programmed trading.
