I have to agree with you. In my college the Physics/Maths kids
are most definitely NOT studying ITApps/SofDev. I'm not sure what
the dynamic is but we seem to be attracting the less academic
kids to SofDev and IPM/ITApps has always been seen as "Veggie IT"
despite its dry, wordy content. Our best IT students tend to come from
the Media Studies/Visual Arts or Accounting/Business studies aeas.

> With respect, this seems more like a promotion to get numbers to your course than a presentation that will serve to improve numbers taking the subjects of Information Technology. Its content when you start discussion above the level of game playability will see many participants asleep in their seats because if they cant 'play it now', they lose interest. Notwithstanding the fact that if you start talking about physics and its electronic or even atomic relationship to computers many students will go 'What the??".
> Sorry, but this seems to miss the point of the discussion thread currently on the teachers mailing list. We see it 'now' in the classrooms at senior levels and declining numbers wont be helped by making it even more confusing than the everknowing board of studies has.

> Apologies to those who disagree.. but this is merely my opinion.
