[Year 12 IT Apps] on the topic of PD..and Moodle..

Just wondering, is any PD on offer, or easily followable/downloadable documents about, Virtual collaborative programs about such as Moodle etc.
Why? It seems like a valuable chance to upskill those of us new(ish) to this latest ITAPPS OC requirement concept. My techie has just installed Moodle for me and I'm madly getting up to speed with it such as setting up groups and gearing up some topics to enable my pupils to get practise in it pre-outcome (about week 7 I hope!). (Must say, I like what I see so far - we got the latest version off the web!)

Additionally, since this only is a prototype(outcome), I'm guessing that it is sufficient to get the kids to have some practise with this type of environment and just make a link to it on my web page. That link will then go to a 'screenshot' of the virtual environment (a la Mark Kelly's aforementioned approach) or steps to it thereof..and include (when I figure out how) such things as password or similar security entry to different areas and hence, cover that part of the requirement.

Any thoughts from you folk who are gurus with the Moodle program? At this stage it has only been 'just setup' for me and one class purely for this task, but I suspect its use can be significantly broadened across the spectrum of the school.
Any quick 'how to' type links out there for us mere Moodle learners?

Any help appreciated muchly.. feel free to use either the list or my direct email below to respond..

Must also say, the quality of what's getting on the list is really quite good lately, I have got heaps of tips and tricks (and resources) from you guys..keep it going!
